Long beaches backed by high sand dunes, tranquil waterways, wildflower heaths, freshwater lakes, woodlands and forests makes this a popular holiday destination and a vital refuge for coastal wildlife. The scenic waterways of the upper Noosa River and its tributaries form part of the Noosa River catchment with two-thirds of this catchment being protected within the national park. The dark tannin-stained waters offer spectacular reflections of the twisted paperbarks and bloodwoods that line the riverbanks. The surrounding wetlands of the upper Noosa River also provide extensive nurseries for juvenile fish and other aquatic life.

Explore the Noosa Everglades and Upper Noosa River by canoe, motorboat, kayak, or on foot. Book a tour or create your own self guided tour.

Camping is allowed, permit fees apply, Vehicle Access Permits (VAPs) are also required when traversing beaches and some inland sand tracks. To purchase permit`s call Queensland Parks and Wildlife service (QPWS)
