Picturesque Pomona is recognised as the living heritage town of the Noosa hinterland and housed the original Noosa Shire Council offices from 1911 until 1980. The former council building is still there today as the Noosa Museum. Another place of interest is the Majestic Theatre, built in 1921 as the social hub for concerts, plays, dances, balls, movies and more. The Majestic Theatre still exists today maintaining many original features and is believed to be the world’s oldest continuously running silent movie cinema. Discover this and more in the charming town of Pomona on the historic self-guided walk or visit Noosa Visitor Information Centres or the Noosa Museum.
