Lunch at Wood Fire Grill: There’s time for longer lunches by the river with new opening hours at Wood Fire Grill, Quamby Place, Noosa Sound, now open from noon on Friday and Saturday, as well as their usual Sunday. Also open for dinner from Wed-Sun. Their family Sunday lunches are a great place to relax by the river with a meaty share plate, two sides and free kids entertainment in the park for $60. Relax and unwind: Book a pampering treatment at one of Noosa’s heavenly day spas or massage rooms – or have them come to you! Vintage Bicycle:
Explore Noosa’s beautiful beaches, river, parks, cafes and restaurants on a Vintage Bicycle electric bike, with hire and tours available. Hire a cool, retro, fat-tyre, electric-powered beach bike or join a tour, including Great Sandy Beach Ride Tour and Sunshine to Peregian Beach Village Tour. They deliver to your Noosa accommodation. Ride from your resort to Hastings St for a swim, coffee and shopping in the morning, then head to Gympie Tce, Noosaville for lunch and a stand-up paddle, kayak, jetski or jet boat ride in the afternoon. Soldiers and stencils
: See 2 exhibitions at Noosa Regional Gallery, Riverside, Pelican St, Tewantin – Invisible Soldiers and Shrouded Machines, and the Stencil Art Prize Touring Exhibition. The first brings together paintings and drawings that describe and reveal the presence of military camouflage in the environment. The Stencil Art Prize showcases 67 stencil artists from 25 countries, influenced by street art and blending pop-culture imagery and global politics. Both exhibitions continue to 6 May, open Tues-Fri, 10am to 4pm; and Sat-Sun, 10am to 3pm, excluding public holidays

Country Drive

Retail by the river
: Take a wander through the shops of Noosaville, alongside Noosa River, with a great range of stores offering homewares, fashion, surfwear, books, jewellery and more, in styles from beachy to classic and vintage. tart your shopping trip in the Gympie Tce, Thomas St and Mary St area, before relaxing at one of the many cafes and restaurants. If you’re driving, head a bit further on to Gateway Dve for some great warehouse-style fashion and homewares showrooms, or take the Noosa Ferry to Noosa Marina, Tewantin for boutiques, gifts, restaurants and bars on the river

Ferry cruise:
Take a sunset cruise on your way to dinner in Noosa with the Noosa Ferry, Tues to Sat, between Noosa Marina in Tewantin and the Sofitel Jetty in Noosa Heads, with several stops along the river near restaurants in Noosaville and Q Place at Noosa Sound. Fit kids
: Noosa Leisure Centre, 9 Wallace Drive, Noosaville, has a new Noosa Fit Kids Program for 4-8-year-olds, a fun, non-competitive, multi-sport program with team and individual activities that change weekly, including basketball, soccer, cricket, gymnastics, tennis, badminton, netball and volleyball. Horse riding:
Go horse riding in Noosa through bush, lake, rainforest or open beaches. Equathon has daily horse riding tours along Noosa North Shore beaches and a 7-day bush tour. National Park: Take a walk or run through the Noosa National Park, just minutes from Hastings St, with coastal tracks with gorgeous views across Laguna Bay to Noosa North Shore – you may even spot a whale, koala, dolphin or turtle! Inland tracks take you through rainforest and eucalypt woodlands. Drop into the Visitor Information Centre in Hastings St or the park’s information centre, open 7 days

River of mirrors: Discover the Noosa Everglades, the river of mirrors, with its magnificent wildlife and pristine wilderness with a range of guided and self-guided kayak tours, or by boat from Noosaville. Ask at the Visitor Information Centre, Hastings St, Noosa Heads or phone 1 3000 NOOSA (66672)

Sunset cruise: The Noosa River at sunset is a beautiful way to start the evening and a cruise is a great way to arrive at dinner! Noosa Ferry has sunset cruises between Hastings St and Noosa Marina, Tues-Sat – ph 5449 8442. Noosa River & Canal Cruises leave from Noosaville and Noosa Heads, Wed-Sat, BYO snacks and drinks and they'll supply the glasses and ice buckets – ph 0414 727 765.
